Robin Crozier

Teacher. Artist. Leading member of the mail art fraternity, based at home in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, where he taught for many years at Sunderland Polytechnic, but participating in projects around the world, best known for his massive creation of passed-around work into the many volumed Memo(random). In 1975, Crozier wrote and published Portrait of Robin Crozier with the Ceolfrith Press in Sunderland, featuring his own characteristic drawings. His international contacts included Anna Banana and Bill Gaglione, then based in San Francisco, who visited Sunderland in 1978 to perform their European touring show Future Sound.
